Panchgavya Chikitsa, also known as ‘Cowpathy,’ is a branch of Ayurveda utilizing the Panchgavya to cure, prevent and maintain health.

 

What is Panchagavya Treatment?

Panchgavya refers to the five holy secretions of the indigenous Indian Cow, and not that of buffalo, crossbreeds’ cows, etc. This includes the milk, urine, dung, ghee and curd. It is stated in the earliest texts of Ayurveda that Panchgavya is most effective for the prevention, treatment and cure of all types of physiological, anatomical, biological and mental disorders. The miraculous healing properties of Panchgavya have been proven to cure nearly all ailments providing immediate relief with absolutely no side effects. Gomutra is a bio-enhancer so when mixed with other medicinal herbs, will multiply the healing capacity.  The high antioxidants provide increased efficacy rate in treatment and proven, successful cures in ailments such as cancer, diabetes, bacterial and viral infections, cough, T.B., arthritis, skin diseases, abnormal blood pressure, piles, obesity, ENT problems, sexually transmitted diseases, hormonal imbalances and all 80 VAT diseases.

There are numerous applications and methods of utilizing Panchgavya.

  1. Internal Usage- Consuming ARK (Cow urine distillate) or other Panchgavya based medicines.

Ayurvedic Healing Properties of Panchgavya

Cow Milk (Ksheera): Referred to the nectar in Ayurvedic texts. A complete food providing a balanced source of fats, carbohydrates and the only non-veg protein from an animal source which nourish ojas, tissues and balances emotions and doshas. The properties are Vathapittaghnam, Sheetha, Rasayana, Brhmanam, Ojovardhaka, Rakthapithahara.

Cow Dung (Gomaye): Used to treat bacterial and fungal infections and skin conditions.  Used to purify the environment.

Cow Urine (Gomutra): It is antimicrobial, anti-viral, anti-toxin, an excellent blood purifier, anti-inflammatory and provides over 15 trace minerals, hormones, enzymes and salts.  The properties are Kaphavatahara, lekhana, Kushtagna, Kadughna.
